- Bidirectional: same card appears on /science/.
- Score: cross-pollination edges are scored on novelty (rare field pair) + impact (downstream artifact citations). Top 10 surfaced; full list at /science/cross-field.
- /api/cross-pollination?from=&to= returns ranked edges.
- Spec: docs/planning/specs/cross_field_discovery.md.
Why now: SciDEX is most valuable when it surfaces non-obvious connections across fields — that's the value above 'just another wiki'. This task makes the surfacing explicit.
