This gene encodes a member of the nicotinamide/nicotinic acid mononucleotide adenylyltransferase family. These enzymes use ATP to catalyze the synthesis of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or nicotinic acid adenine dinucleotide from nicotinamide mononucleotide or nicotinic acid mononucleotide, respectively.
